Designing a user-friendly social platform to make connecting effortless and fun. My role included crafting the app’s branding, designing key screens and flows, and creating marketing assets to introduce the app to its target audience.

Project Overview

My Team

For this project, my team consisted of:

- UX/UI Designer & Researcher: Myself

- UX/UI Designer: Morgan Harris, Ariana Pannell, and Angelina Caraballo

- Co-founders: Ebony Bogui-Akinyi and Ashlee Walker

The Why:

The concept for Luxlife was developed in response to the growing social disconnect among young adult women following the COVID-19 pandemic. The app, which focuses on helping woman form and maintain genuine platonic relationships through shared interests, activities, and personality. As I wrap up my design degree, I decided to come back to this project to give it a refresh through its visual identity and UX direction to better match the brand's tone and messaging.

Meet the Brand Built for Real Connections

The refreshed LuxLife brand highlights authenticity and connection, shown through arrows linking the “U” and “I.” The logo was redesigned for versatility, working across stacked layouts and the “LL” icon. I kept the original purple and yellow palette and introduced orange as an accent to bring energy and balance to the identity. I also added "Pacifico" as a third typeface to bring a playful, creative energy to the brand.
