Think-A-Thon 2026

Our spring intern cohort was tasked with branding and promoting the 2026 Think-A-Thon for our semester-long intern project. This year’s initiative supported A Gift for Music and took on a more personal meaning as the campaign was created in memory of Danny, a beloved member of the Think Integrated team.

Project Overview

Think-A-Thon traditionally centers on what an agency can accomplish in 26.2 hours, such as brand refreshes and social campaigns to websites, video, and marketing strategy.

For its 10th anniversary, we wanted the campaign to communicate something bigger than the work itself: the power of people coming together to make an impact.

This year, that idea became especially meaningful. In honoring Danny's love for music and supporting A Gift for Music, we saw an opportunity to make connection the heart of the campaign.

My Role:

Digital Design · Creative Direction · Content Creation · Social Media · Email Design

I developed the visual direction alongside fellow design intern Val. Together, we collaborated with spring interns Kirsten (Social), Gia (Copywriting), and Anthony (Accounts) to develop the campaign for Think-A-Thon.

The Challenge

Create a campaign that honored Danny’s legacy, introduced A Gift for Music, and inspired donations while staying cohesive with Think Integrated’s social presence.

The Concept — The Red String of Fate

The campaign began with the idea of the red string of fate — an invisible thread believed to connect people whose lives are meant to intersect. We reimagined the metaphor as a symbol of connection, community, and collective impact.

The concept also tied naturally to A Gift for Music, whose work gives students opportunities to learn and grow through music and string instruments.

Visual exploration

We explored tactile references around embroidery, patches, handmade craft, and physical connection.
Two ideas quickly became the foundation of the campaign:

The red thread + the patch.

Building the Identity

We translated the concept into a tactile visual system inspired by embroidered patches, stitched lettering, denim, and hand-crafted textiles.

The result was an identity that felt personal, nostalgic, and collectible and most importantly, was something supporters could see, interact with, and ultimately wear.

The Patch

The patch transformed the campaign’s central metaphor into a visual way to show your support and wear your heart on your sleeve.

Created by Val, the patch was designed to feel personal while remaining universal enough that supporters would genuinely want to wear and display it beyond the campaign

Digital Applications — Email

I designed the campaign emails around the same embroidered textures, thread illustrations, and patch-inspired graphics, creating a recognizable visual language across each communication.

Web Design

I extended the campaign's branding into a digital experience, using the visual language to guide visitors from story → participation → donation.

Social Applications

We extended the campaign identity into social content, using the embroidered textures, thread illustrations, and patch graphics to create a cohesive presence across Think Integrated’s channels.

I partnered with the social intern to create campaign graphics, including the number and music-note patches and red-thread illustrations, while helping art direct the final compositions across social, email, and web.

A Campaign With Purpose

Think-a-Thon wasn't just about asking people to donate. It was about giving people a way to participate in something bigger than themselves.

Through the red string metaphor and physical patch, we created a visual language that connected Danny's memory, A Gift for Music's mission, and the people supporting the campaign.
